These terms apply to your use of PermitCortex, run by Lucky Bulldog LLC. By creating an account you agree to them.
What PermitCortex is
PermitCortex is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by the City of Menlo Park, Burlingame, Palo Alto or Cupertino, or any other government agency. Applications are filed through each city's own official portal, and only the city can approve a permit.
PermitCortex prepares permit applications. It does not approve, issue or guarantee permits, and a city may ask for more than PermitCortex shows. Fees and review times are quoted from each city's published schedules and are estimates; the city assesses the actual fees.
Not professional advice
PermitCortex, including its AI advisor, provides information, not legal, architectural or engineering advice. The AI can be wrong. Check anything important against the city's own pages or with city staff, and use licensed professionals where the law or the city requires them.
Your responsibilities
- The information and documents you provide must be accurate, and you must have the right to use them.
- You are responsible for what you file with a city. Declarations on permit applications are made under penalty of perjury; only you can make them, and you should read everything before you sign or file.
- Only invite collaborators you trust with the application you share.
- Do not use PermitCortex to break the law, to misrepresent who you are, or to interfere with the service or with any city's systems.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you upload. You let us store and process it only to provide the service to you and the people you invite, as described in the Privacy Policy.
No warranty; limited liability
PermitCortex is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for a permit being delayed, returned or refused, for fees a city charges, or for indirect or consequential losses.
Changes and ending
We may update these terms; the date above changes when we do. You can stop using PermitCortex and ask us to delete your account at any time. These terms are governed by the laws of California, USA.
