Privacy Policy
Effective October 23, 2026
This policy explains what PermitCortex, run by Lucky Bulldog LLC, collects, why, who else handles it, and how to have it deleted. PermitCortex does not sell personal information and does not use it for advertising.
What we collect
- Your account: your email address and, if you set one, a password stored only as a one-way hash. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
- Your applications: the property address and what you enter about the project and the people on it — applicant, owner and contractor names, emails, phone numbers and contractor license number.
- Your documents: the drawings and files you upload, forms PermitCortex fills for you, and signatures you add, with a record of when and from which IP address and browser each was signed.
- Advisor conversations: questions you ask the AI advisor and its answers, which may be saved with your application.
- Security records: an audit log of actions on your applications, including IP address and browser.
We never ask for your password to any city's permit portal, and we do not collect payment card details: PermitCortex takes no payments.
Why
To run the service you asked for: show the right requirements, fill forms, check files, answer questions, let people you invite collaborate, and keep your work secure. Collaborators you invite can see the application you invite them to.
Who else handles it
- Vercel hosts the site and stores uploaded files.
- Neon hosts the database.
- Anthropic provides the AI that answers advisor questions and reads uploaded drawings. What you send to the advisor, and documents you ask it to read, are sent to Anthropic for that purpose.
- Google, if you choose to sign in with Google.
- Resend sends invitation emails when you invite a collaborator.
- Public government map services — the city's GIS, FEMA, CAL FIRE and the California Geological Survey — receive the property address or parcel outline when PermitCortex looks up a property's zoning and hazard zones. These lookups carry no personal details.
PermitCortex does not send your application to any city. You file it yourself, in the city's own portal.
Keeping and deleting it
We keep your information while your account is open. You can permanently delete an application, and the files uploaded to it, from your dashboard. To delete your account and everything in it, email shaojiahui2012@gmail.com from the address on the account. Deletion here does not affect anything you have already filed with a city.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, and California residents have the rights the CCPA gives them. Email shaojiahui2012@gmail.com; we will not treat you differently for asking.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date above changes with it. Significant changes will be announced on the site.
